UNIT 2: URBAN LEGENDS
Dominican Republic has some urban legends which are:
The Bacá: That is an animal creature created with witchcraft. You make a pact with the evil to acquire good materials and to have protections. But all this have condition, you have to give a soul of the son or daughter, or anyone you love so much.
The Witches: they take flight saying ¨Without God and Saint Maria¨ to access the darkest forces. This one they suck the children´s blood that aren´t baptizing.
The Ciguapa: It is a nocturnal being and they prefer the dark areas of the forests. When it comes out it is because they seek to feed themselves as fish, fruits or birds. On the other hand, they like to steal butter and raw meat from those places that are accessible to them. Another one of their tastes is the corn or grains that they find.
